Herbert Salber will replace Philippe Lefort in the post of EU special representative for the South Caucasus.

Lefort‘s mission ended in early 2014.

Salber‘s candidacy was nominated by the EU High Commissioner Catherine Ashton and was endorsed by all members of the organization.
