A 14-year-old boy from Austria who downloaded bomb-making plans onto his PlayStation console was sentenced to a two-year jail term yesterday after pleading guilty to terrorism charges.
The schoolboy, named only by authorities as Mertkan G, was also found guilty of belonging to a „terrorist“ organisation
He had faced up to five years in jail for supporting a terrorist organisation and planning an attack. Those charges were based on data found on the boy‘s PlayStation, including bomb-building plans downloaded from the internet.
Unconfirmed press reports said that Isil had offered to pay him €25,000 if he managed to carry out the attack.
