Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov discussed the situation in Syria with foreign ministers of the five permanent member states “P5” of the UN Security Council and the UN Secretary General Ban Ki-Moon.
The Russian Foreign Ministry said in a statement on Tuesday that the talks, which took place on the sidelines of the UN General Assembly, gave special attention to the situation in Syria in light of the increasing terror threat by the Islamic State in Iraq and Syria (ISIS) in the region.
