France’s foreign and defence ministers are in Baghdad on an official visit meeting with Iraqi government officials before proceeding to the Kurdistan Region capital Erbil.

After meeting with Iraqi Prime Minister Haider al-Abadi, Foreign Minister Jean-Yves Le Drian and Defence Minister Florence Parly are expected to meet with other Iraqi leaders, then will travel to Erbil to meet with the Region’s President Masoud Barzani, according to French media.
