In a last-hour move to avoid default later this evening, Greece’s Prime Minister Alexis Tsipras asked the eurozone’s rescue fund for a two-year loan to cover the country’s coming debt obligations. The Greek request was made in a letter, obtained by POLITICO, to Eurogroup president Jeroen Dijsselbloem in his capacity as chairman of the board of governors of the European Stability Mechanism on Tuesday.
