Vladimir Putin updated the Emir of Qatar on preparations for a trilateral summit meeting in Sochi between the leaders of Russia, Iran and Turkey as guarantor states of the Astana peace process.

The parties positively assessed Russian-Qatari cooperation and pointed out mutual interest in strengthening it in various areas.
