The technologies for low-cost NEO missions exist today. The necessary command and control, sensor and space operations technologies and equipment are all „dual use“ to the military. We have similar, and in some cases almost identical requirements. It thus stands to reason that strong military involvement and even lead in the decades ahead on NEO mitigation is in order.
