Late last night Vladimir Putin had a working meeting with permanent members of the Security Council.

The discussion focussed on international politics, with a detailed exchange on the situation in Ukraine, specifically in the context of the talks Vladimir Putin had on the same day with the President of Switzerland, Chairperson-in-Office of the Organisation for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) Didier Burkhalter.

The President also congratulated the Security Council members on the coming Victory Day.
