Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said on Friday that the intra-Syrian dialogue in Geneva must continue despite the situation being extremely tense as there is no alternative way to settle the crisis.

“We think that it is principally important for Syrian settlement and has no alternatives. Russia is absolutely open for cooperation with other interested countries, probably, first of all, with US,” he said adding that in this case, contacts continue.
