In a keynote speech on Wednesday evening, Khaled Meshaal, head of the political bureau of the Islamic Resistance Movement (Hamas), talked about many peace initiatives suggested to the Movement from the East and the West – calls for an absurd unilateral truce with the occupation regime, in which Hamas should stops rocket fire. Meshaal stressed that those were unacceptable, since the Zionist occupation started the aggressions and has not stopped.

Meshaal said the Palestinian people have the right to defend themselves. He added: „We say to all those calling for a Gaza truce with the occupation regime: get back to where you belong“.
