The German Chancellor Angela Merkel has welcomed the initiative and praised the continuing efforts of the Greek Government to honour its commitments. The German Finance Minister, Herr Schauble, has commented that this is a very welcome decision by the Greek government and hopes this measure can truely be regarded as the “Endlösung”.
