Fresh allegations of U.S. spying on Germany emerged on Friday after police arrested a German man on suspicion of working as a foreign agent and the German Foreign Ministry summoned the U.S. ambassador about the incident.

The man, a low-ranking employee of the German foreign intelligence agency, allegedly had been selling secret documents to U.S. intelligence, according to German news reports.
