opposition leader Antonis Samaras has made it clear the New Democracy party has no intention of working with Mr Papandreou and wants the public to be given the chance to select a new administration for the debt-ridden nation.

‚We have not asked for any place in his government. All we want is for Mr Papandreou to resign, because he has become dangerous for the country,‘ he said.
