Stuxnet was first discovered in 2010 after the virus inadvertently “escaped” its original target, Iran’s Natanz nuclear plant, and propagated on the internet. This past Friday, David Sanger reported in the New York Times how Stuxnet was developed as a joint effort by the United States and Israel to strike against Iran’s nuclear program.
