The attack proved successful as government troops imposed full control over Al-Asilah district in northeastern part of the pocket after launching a swift attack on this axis.

Having cleared the aforementioned neighbourhood of jihadists, the Tiger Forces continued their operation launching an assault on Al-Ma‘adi district.
