The family of Alton Sterling appeared at a press conference this morning in Baton Rouge. Among other things, local NAACP leaders and others called for the police chief to step down and called for the cops involved in the shooting of Sterling, which was caught on camera by a bystander, to be charged. Sterling’s police record will be reviewed extensively by the public. Debates will rage over whether the officers should be charged at all.
