Deputy Prime Minister, Foreign and Expatriates Minister Walid al-Moallem, head of the Syrian official delegation to Geneva 2 conference, reiterated Syria’s desire to make this conference a success as a first step to start a Syrian-Syrian dialogue on the Syrian territories to meet the people’s aspirations without any foreign intervention.

“It seems that the US has failed to form an acceptable delegation of the Syrian opposition as it should be, in implementation of the UN Security Council resolution No.2118,” al-Moallem said in a statement to reporters prior to his arrival at Geneva, adding that the UN has also yielded to the western pressures when it didn’t send invitation to the national opposition parties in Syria.
