An Egyptian-British journalist working for the television news network Al Jazeera remained in German custody on Sunday pending a court ruling on the validity of an Egyptian arrest warrant that served as grounds for his detention at a Berlin airport over the weekend. His lawyers said the charges were politically motivated.
