Mark Andrew Lowcock, under-secretary general for the UN Humanitarian Affairs, and his party arrived here on Monday.
Chairman Kim Jong Un expressed his expectation and conviction that good personal relations forged with President Trump and his sentiments of good faith built towards the latter at the Singapore summit and talks would be further consolidated through the process of future dialogues such as high-level talks this time.
But, the U.S. side came up only with its unilateral and gangster-like demand for denuclearization just calling for CVID, declaration and verification, all of which run counter to the spirit of the Singapore summit meeting and talks.
The U.S. side never mentioned the issue of establishing a peace regime on the Korean peninsula which is essential for defusing tension and preventing a war. It took the position that it would even backtrack on the issue it had agreed on to end the status of war under certain conditions and excuses.
„We wish and support the two sides to implement the consensus reached by the two leaders, promote follow-up consultations, further consolidate and expand the achievements, and make the political settlement of the peninsula issue a sustainable and irreversible process,“ it said.
„As a neighbor of the peninsula and an important party of the issue, China stands ready to work with other relevant parties toward denuclearization and the establishment of a peace mechanism on the Korean Peninsula.“
Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers‘ Party of Korea, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea and supreme commander of the Korean People’s Army, held the summit meeting and talks with Donald J. Trump, president of the United States of America, at Sentosa Island of Singapore on June 12, 2018 for the first time in the histories of the two countries.
The following is a joint statement of the Singapore summit signed by Kim Jong Un, chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, and Donald J. Trump, president of the United States of America, on June 12:
The whole process of dismantling the northern nuclear test ground well showed the steadfast stand of the DPRK government to join in the international desire and efforts to build a nuclear-free world.
The DPRK government will make steady efforts to have close contacts and dialogue with neighboring countries and the international community in the future, too, in order to defend peace and stability of the Korean peninsula and the world.
The north and the south should be responsible for consistently implementing the declaration they promised to before all Koreans and the world, no matter how the situation and surrounding circumstances may change. They should also proactively create favorable conditions and circumstances to implement the declaration by pooling their efforts.
They should neither read others‘ face nor seek their egoistic interests but honestly carry out those specified in the declaration, and thus decisively improve and develop the north-south relations.
Noting with high appreciation that the situation in the Korean peninsula and the region has entered a phase of stability thanks to the DPRK, which has taken practical steps while successfully steering the relations between the north and the south of Korea and between the DPRK and the U.S., Lavrov said that Russia fully supports the DPRK’s determination and stand on the DPRK-U.S. summit high on the agenda and the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula and wishes for good successes.
Kim Jong Un said that the DPRK’s will for denuclearization of the Korean peninsula still remains unchanged and consistent and fixed and he hoped that the DPRK-U.S. relations and the denuclearization of the Korean peninsula will be solved on a stage-by-stage basis by finding a solution to meet the interests of each other through a new method in a new era and under a new situation and the solution of the issues will progress through effective and constructive dialogue and negotiation.
Launch of my Disarmament Agenda today:
(16.5.2018) High-ranking officials of the White House and the Department of State including Bolton, White House national security adviser, are letting loose the assertions of so-called Libya mode of nuclear abandonment, “complete, verifiable and irreversible denuclearization”, “total decommissioning of nuclear weapons, missiles, biochemical weapons”. etc, while talking about formula of “abandoning nuclear weapons first, compensating afterwards”.
This is not an expression of intention to address the issue through dialogue. It is essentially a manifestation of awfully sinister move to impose on our dignified state the destiny of Libya or Iraq which had been collapsed due to yielding the whole of their countries to big powers.
Kim Jong Un, chairman of the Workers‘ Party of Korea and chairman of the State Affairs Commission of the Democratic People’s Republic of Korea, Thursday met Wang Yi, state councilor and foreign minister of the People’s Republic of China who is on a visit to the DPRK.

Americans have to ponder over the destiny and prospect of their country, clearly understanding the deep meaning enshrined in the crucial measure of the DPRK, before going rude.
To build a peaceful world without war is the goal of the WPK and it is the consistent stand of our Party and government to struggle for the regional and global peace and security.
The April plenary meeting more evidently clarified the stand and will of the DPRK to open up a new phase for peace in the Korean peninsula and, furthermore, in Northeast Asia. This also conforms with not only the interests of the Korean nation and the regional people but also the common expectation of the international community.
It is the voice of the world public opinion that as the DPRK took an epoch-making measure, this should naturally be responded with sincerity for the development of the situation, not missing the opportunity.
The Chinese art troupe gave its premiere for the 31st April Spring Friendship Art Festival at the Mansudae Art Theatre on April 14.
First Lady Ri Sol Ju enjoyed a ballet choreodrama „Giselle“ given by the National Ballet of China, together with Choe Ryong Hae, Ri Su Yong, Kim Yong Chol, Kim Yo Jong, Pak Chun Nam and other senior party and government officials.
Then, at the meeting Kim Jong Un made a report on the recent development of the situation on the Korean peninsula.
In his report the Supreme Leader referred to the north-south summit meeting and talks to be held at the „House of Peace“ in the south side portion of Panmunjom on April 27. He made a profound analysis and appraisal of the orientation of the development of the north-south relations at present and the prospect of the DPRK-U.S. dialogue and clarified the strategic and tactical issues to be maintained by the WPK including the future policy of international relations and the orientation corresponding to them.
Then, he pointed out in detail the recent work of the members of the Political Bureau of the C.C., WPK and stressed the need for them to give fuller play to their responsibility and role as the commanding members of revolution.
