Wahrheit gegen Wahrheit 101 neue Thesen

1. Die gewalttätige Konfrontation, die im Oktober 2000 ausbrach und die „Al-Aqsa-Intifada genannt wurde, ist nur ein weiteres Stadium des historischen Konfliktes, der mit der Gründung der zionistischen Bewegung Ende des 19. Jahrhunderts begann.
2. Eine fünfte Generation von Israelis und Palästinensern sind schon in diesen Konflikt hineingeboren worden. Die gesamte psychische und physische Welt dieser Generation wird von diesem Konflikt bestimmt, der alle Bereiche ihres Lebens beherrscht.
3. Im Laufe dieses langen Konfliktes hat sich wie in jedem Krieg eine ungeheure Menge von Mythen, Geschichtsfälschungen, Propagandaslogans und Vorurteile auf beiden Seiten entwickelt.
4. Das Verhalten von jeder der beiden Konfliktseiten wird durch ihr historisches Narrativ, die Art und Weise, wie sie die 120 jährige Geschichte des Konfliktes wahrnehmen, bestimmt. Die zionistische historische Version und die palästinensische Version widersprechen einander völlig – sowohl allgemein, als auch in fast jeder Einzelheit.
5. Seit Beginn des Konfliktes bis zum heutigen Tag hat die zionistische/ israelische Führung in totaler Nichtbeachtung des palästinensischen Narrativ gehandelt. Selbst dann, wenn sie eine Lösung erreichen wollte, waren solche Bemühungen zum Misslingen verurteilt, weil die nationalen Aspirationen, Traumas, Ängste und Hoffnungen des palästinensischen Volkes ignoriert wurden. Etwas Ähnliches geschah auch auf der anderen Seite, auch wenn es keine Symmetrie zwischen beiden Seiten gibt.
6. Die Schlichtung eines solch langen historischen Konfliktes ist nur dann möglich, wenn jede Seite in der Lage ist, die psychisch-politische Welt der anderen Seite zu verstehen und bereit ist, mit der anderen Seite auf gleicher Augenhöhe – ebenbürtig - zu sprechen. Geringschätzige, macht-orientierte, anmaßende, unsensible und ignorante Haltung verhindern eine übereinstimmende Lösung.
